Homemade Gifts made easier!
You may not know we have this really cool feature... right on our web site! It's called the Homemade Gift Calculator... it shows a container and ribbons and tags to decorate for a neat look for giving a homemade gift for holiday giving... and you (the customer) plugs in how many they want to make and the computer figures out how many or how much of each item is needed to make that many! It's an awesome time-saver for those crafty customers and we really need to let them know that feature is available! So next time you see someone picking out jars... be sure to mention it (as well as the ribbon and tags, of course!).

Organize those elfa drawers!
Working with a customer the other day on things
to organize the drawers in her elfa units... she had
a lot of the drawer organizing things from kitchen
out and was experimenting.... she wanted larger
organizers for t-shirts and underwear and socks.
I showed her the ones we have in Closet that are
clear plastic... thinking they just might be the right
size for her.... and should fit ok... they turned out to
be EXACTLY what she was looking for and she
was beyond thrilled...with how they worked, the size
selection and the price! She was amazed to know
that they weren't a new item but she'd never seen
them before... and I realized later in the day when
planning a space, they even list them in the drawer
unit planner as accessories for drawer units... and it
says right on the box.... designed to fit elfa 1-runner
drawers! So let's remember to mention these!
Here's what they look like in the box...

My TCS-filled Office
Here's my office... that other job I have away from TCS at Ohio State. You may see a few familiar items here... a lot of things that came from The Container Store. Some newer, some older from little to large... and of course, elfa is in there! See how many things you can find - kinda like where's Waldo. (And yes, that's the tip of an Oh! Chair down in the far left corner.)
Neat InterMetro Cart!
I had a great time helping a customer put this solution together! She needed something to store bottled water and soda under a table in her kitchen. She wanted to conceal the stuff and also wanted it to roll out from under the long table. It was a challenge but we came up with this. She needed it to be under 20" high so we cut down the Metro poles to the size she needed and she loved the green collapsible totes and 3 fit perfectly in the basket! What a great solution and it came to around $113, she was thrilled! These are the type of projects I live for!

Product story: Step stool
Hey, don't forget stepstools for closet or pantry completion products! Customers can use them to get things off those top shelves or other areas of the kitchen! Show them a space they can keep it and tell them how handy it will be. If they have a step stool already ask them what kind of shape is it in, how old is it? Is it time for a new one? Would it be convenient to have a second one in another room? This is a great addition to quite a few spaces.
